About the event

For Yoga teachers who seek to cultivate more.

Elevate your teaching skills with this life-changing Mentorship program!

Mentorship has been a central part of yoga throughout its history. It can help yoga teachers grow professionally in an ethical way, supporting the student in discovering their own truth on this path.

Discover transformative techniques and strategies to unleash your inner yoga rockstar while doing what you love! Unlock the keys to success, master the art of teaching, and embark on a journey that will forever redefine your life and career. Don’t miss this opportunity to become a beacon of change in the yoga world and build self-confidence that stands the test of time.

Chances are good you don’t feel totally confident teaching yoga after completing your 200-hour yoga teacher certification course. I know I didn’t. That’s exactly why I developed this course.

When I graduated from my first YTT, I still felt a little in the dark. It was through the help of other yoga professionals that I finally felt confident enough to soar in my yoga direction—one that aligned with my true self and interpretation. I’m here to unlock that door for you, to help you find YOUR Yoga Teacher Superpowers!

Learn about the intersection of tradition and innovation and see just how important it is for teachers to belong to a rich lineage of yoga to understand how to teach effectively, safely, and confidently.

In this intensive course, we will cover and elaborate on the foundations, the Eight Limbed System, applied anatomy and physiology, and yoga asana technique. We will also cover hands-on adjustments and how to apply our learning in the classroom, through a safe and therapeutic container.

The Free To Be Yoga Teacher Mentorship is an intensive 3-6 month course; participants must be willing to reach deeply within and grow throughout our time together. Please do not apply if you are not serious. This is primarily a 1:1 coaching container, though small groups will be formed for specific teaching workshops.

This Yoga Mentorship is for yoga teachers who have already completed their 200HR YTT or 500HR YTT. Through this mentorship, you will receive further guidance, support, and inspiration for your teaching in this private and inclusive space.

What is a mentor? A yoga mentor is a senior Yoga Teacher with extensive experience in their field. Mentors live and breathe yoga, are committed to the teachings of the Yoga tradition, and in addition to offering yoga in group or individual environments, they are very often also trainers themselves, helping to train aspiring yoga teachers and yoga therapists.

What can you gain from having a mentor? – Additional support and guidance navigating your yoga teaching journey. – The gift of a personalized yoga practice tailored to your own special requirements. – One-on-one assistance with yoga questions. – Support and advice. – Insights from someone who remembers being where you are and has the benefit of experience to share. – A dedicated source of encouragement and care.

What are the qualities of a good mentor? – Depth of experience. – A deep understanding of yoga, its history, context, and applications. – Strong teaching, listening, and communication skills. – Provides a caring, supportive, and authentic environment in which to connect.

What are the qualities of a good mentee? – Curiosity to learn, question, and seek answers to deepen their knowledge. – Open mind and open heart: allow yourself to be guided and to take on suggestions and feedback from an experienced mentor. – Commitment to steering the mentoring relationship and proactively booking and attending sessions with mentors.

How does mentoring work?

We can meet at the Free to Be location or via Zoom, though I encourage our first meeting to be face-to-face so we can learn about you and your personal practice.

Typically, one of the first things your mentor will do is learn about you and help you review any existing home practice, or design a personalized practice for you, tailored to your body and your individual needs at the time (physical, mental, emotional).

PROGRAM STRUCTURE: • Mentees will have an initial meeting to go over specific goals and expectations. • Mentees will observe 3 classes. • Mentees will take 4 one-on-one or small group teacher classes. • The Teachers’ Class will reflect themes and be tailored to the student/group. • Expect posture assessments, prop exploration, and discussion woven through the practice. • Mentees will teach the mentor 3 classes. • Mentees will meet with the mentor after each class they observe or assist, for up to 15 minutes of discussion to review insights, feedback, and questions. • The pace and timing are at the discretion of the mentee/mentor and their schedule.

Six Biweekly Mentor Meetings: designed to support your work as a teacher. Each session will be unique. Topics and structure may include: – Interactive Q&As – Lectures and discussions on topics like anatomy, yoga philosophy, asana alignment, and career management. – Sequencing strategy and exercises. – Sutra circles. – Opportunities to teach the mentor and receive feedback. – Opportunities to observe the mentor leading practice, take notes, and discuss. – Support cultivating workshops, classes, and achieving specific personal teaching goals. – Nurturing the mentee’s organic nature and personality. We all have a gift to share! This mentorship will elevate your teaching skills, confidence, and clarity of direction on your yogic teaching path. • Mentees will have up to six months to complete the program. • Mentees will receive Continuing Education Credits through Yoga Alliance for each hour of program participation.

Investment: $875.00

This interactive mentorship provides you with the feedback and support you need to refine your skills and grow into as a teacher. The program supports your growth in an authentic way that is unique to your individual style. This program, encourages you to reflect on and think critically about teaching yoga and developing your skills in the direction you desire all while staying on an authentic yoga philosophy guided path. Danielle Bukowski leads this program and will guide you through the process of developing your voice and style. She will help you build the confidence needed to be effective and connected to your students.

You have ample time to complete the assignments and reflections. Because students work at different paces, the exact amount of time you will spend on the content is up to you and your learning style. You can expect at least 6 months.

During the course, you will have access to Danielle through, email, and phone appointments.

You must have gone through your YTT 200 training to participate in this program. The courses in this program can be used as continuing education.
